Now Germany and Poland may not ratify the EU's Reform Treaty

German President Horst Köhler has refused to complete the ratification of the EU Reform Treaty until a legal challenge is heard by the country's constitutional court.

Polish president Lech Kaczynski has also said that signing it would be "pointless" because of Ireland's no vote last month.Poland's parliament approved the document in April, but Kaczynski also needs to sign it off. Speaking to the Polish daily newspaper Dziennik, Kaczynski suggested signing the treaty was futile.
