Brown wins over 42 days detention but relies on the DUP

9.16.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 13th Jun 2008

Gordon Brown won the vote on Wednesday night on the 42 days detention, I realise I am posting in all the wrong order by the David Davis thing got most of my attention yesterday.

Brown only won by 9 votes, exactly the number of Democratic Unionists that voted to support him. One wonders what concessions they won out of him rumours are abound of what they may have won.

It is also said many Labour MPs won concessions too for their constituents - I just hope my local MP got us something good but I suspect he just did as he was told.
