Wolverhampton Liberal Democrats' successful Park Ward campaign has won the Albert Ingham Award at the Party's conference in Brighton. The Award is in recognition of campaign that saw Robin Lawrence elected in May.

Colin Ross who collected the award said "I am honoured to accept this award on behalf of the Park Ward team, we won the seat as a team and this award is for the whole team. We worked hard to ensure Robin was elected and continue to work hard, we hope to elect Claire Darke to join Robin on the Council next May. This award shows the work we are doing in Wolverhampton is being recognised by the Party nationally, we were also longlisted for this year's Penhaligon Award, I would also like to thank the Party for this recognition."

Colin has now been involved in teams that have won all three major awards, the Albert Ingham at this conference, the Penhaligon Award with LDYS and the Andy Lawson Award when I was a student at the University of Wolverhampton.

The Penhaligon Award is a membership award, based not just on recruitment but retention and servicing members. The Andy Lawson Award is given to the best student group in memory of Andy Lawson.
