Wolverhampton South West Conservatives to select their Parliamentary Candidate

7.45.00am BST (GMT +0100) Fri 27th Oct 2006

News reaches me that the Conservatives in Wolverhampton South West have started their selection process - the closing date for applications on Thursday 9th November. I look forward to seeing the shortlist - I have already posted the former Chair of Wolverhampton South West's views where he launches an attack on two Wolverhampton Conservative Councillors for being far from outstanding, and suggests there is a racist element in the Conservative Party in Wolverhampton, I reprint these below:

Jonathan M Scott the former Chair of Wolverhampton South West Conservatives writing on about parliamentary selections said the following "Similarly, there are many Associations who will ensure that 'local' candidates are selected. Watch carefully Wolverhampton S.W., for example, which I was until recently Chairman, in which there are at least two local councillors vying for the nomination - and in their case they are far from outstanding! This is an Association which, by the way, selected the superb Mrs Sandip Verma the last time and sadly in which there is now a faction that wants "a white candidate this time" (remember Bradford West in 2005?)."
