Wolverhampton South West election debrief

10.31.00pm BST (GMT +0100) Wed 1st Jun 2005

Tonight Wolverhampton South West Liberal Democrats met for their first Executive meeting since the General Election. As well as the normal business we had a short debrief on the General Election, where it was agreed that it was good result - our share of the vote increasing by 5% (more than any it rose for any other Liberal Democrat candidate in the other Black Country seats) in what was supposed to be a Labour/Conservative marginal.

We also discussed the first draft of a Development Plan I had produced to ensure that we maximise our efforts for next year's Council elections and those in 2007 and 2008. The plan still needs a little work but the bones of our campaign are there, just need the flesh now.
