The extra votes and the missing Marked Register New!

As regular readers will know the Electoral Commission are investigating the General Election result in Wolverhampton South West after I pointed out that more votes were cast in the General Election in Wolverhampton South West than were issued - http://www.colin-ross.org.uk/news/002766/when_40094_becomes_40160.html (also see http://www.libdemvoice.org/the-mysterious-66-votes-in-wolverhampton-south-west-20816.html).

A day at the cinema

I work for an organisation that still has Bank Holiday Tuesdays - no I don't understand them either and it looks like they will be got rid of soon. Anyway we had one today and as it was lovely and sunny I locked myself in a cinema to catch up on some films I had missed from being away.

I read Lord Pearson has stepped down as Leader of UKIP. Pearson became Leader after Nigel Farage MEP stood down to stand in Buckingham at the General Election.

Labour gain from the Conservatives in Cannock Chase

In yesterday's only West Midland by-election Labour gained the Heath Hayes and Wimblebury Ward on Cannock Chase District Council from the Conservatives.

Last night Josie not only won Big Brother 11 but then re-entered the house for Ultimate Big Brother.

Big Brother finishes tonight, and starts again

Tonight (8pm Channel 4) sees the end of Big Brother 11. It will also see the start of Ultimate Big Brother with tonight's winner and our 'favourites' from the past ten series'. I am officially very exciting!
